ELG Australia

A Hospitality Group with a Difference

As the Perth hospitality scene continues to evolve, the Esqulant Leisure Group (ELG Australia) has emerged as a premier operator of coastal and community-focused venues. From the iconic Hillarys Beach Club to the Mediterranean-inspired Bar Olé, ELG Australia’s portfolio is defined by “bringing people together.”

To support their rapid expansion and provide a centralised hub for their growing suite of venues, ELG Australia partnered with Organik Web to design and develop a sophisticated WordPress Multisite platform. The objective was to create a digital ecosystem that allowed each venue to maintain its unique brand personality while benefiting from a unified back-end structure, seamless cross-venue rewards integration, and a high-performance user experience.

The Client: A Vision of Coastal Hospitality

Founded by Ryan and Nikki Esqulant, ELG Australia is the driving force behind some of Western Australia’s most beloved dining destinations.

Their portfolio includes:

With a philosophy rooted in community and human connection, ELG needed a website that felt as warm and welcoming as their physical spaces, while also serving as a robust business tool for bookings, recruitment, and loyalty management.

The Challenge: Managing Diversity within Unity

Organik Web identified several key challenges that needed to be addressed to deliver a successful multisite solution:

1. WordPress Multisite
The primary challenge was architectural. ELG required a “parent” site that acted as a corporate umbrella, yet each venue required its own “child” site or landing experience with distinct menus, branding, and booking engines. The solution had to be scalable enough to accommodate new venues as the group expanded.

2. High-Volume Functionality
Hospitality websites are high-traffic environments. The site needed to handle thousands of monthly users looking for menus, making table reservations, or inquiring about private functions. Integration with third-party platforms (like SevenRooms or OpenTable) had to be seamless and mobile-first.

3. Centralised Loyalty and Rewards
ELG launched the “Heartfelt Rewards” program. A loyalty scheme that works across all venues. The digital platform needed to clearly communicate this benefit and provide a central point for members to sign up and understand their rewards, regardless of which venue they were visiting.

4. Recruitment and Employer Branding
With a workforce spanning hundreds of staff, ELG needed a centralised “Careers” portal. This was essential to streamline the hiring process and position the group as an employer of choice in a competitive hospitality market.

The Solution: A Seamless Multisite Ecosystem

Organik Web developed a custom WordPress multisite framework tailored specifically to the needs of a modern hospitality group.

A Unified Visual Language
Organik Web designed a clean, sophisticated aesthetic for the ELG Australia parent site. Utilising high-quality lifestyle photography and a minimalist layout, the design emphasises the “community forward” mission of the group. This design language then trickles down into the venue pages, ensuring that while Hillary’s Beach Club feels “hamptons / coastal” and Bar Olé feels “refined / fine dining” they both belong to the same professional family.

Intuitive Venue Navigation
The “Find Your Closest Venue” feature was placed front-and-center on the homepage. By using a grid-based layout with clear calls-to-action (“Visit Website” and “Make Booking”), Organik Web reduced the friction for customers, allowing them to reach their destination in just two clicks.

Custom Development for “Heartfelt Rewards”
To promote the Heartfelt Rewards program, Organik Web integrated dedicated landing pages and sitewide banners. This ensures that every visitor, whether they are looking for a burger or a cocktail, is aware of the early access to promotions and tier-level discounts available through the membership.

Streamlined Careers Portal
The “Jobs” section was built to act as a centralised recruitment hub. By categorising roles by venue and department (Front of House, Back of House, Management), Organik Web made it easy for applicants to find relevant positions. This centralised data also makes it significantly easier for the ELG HR team to manage the influx of applications across different locations.

Technical Implementation

Platform: WordPress Multisite
The choice of WordPress Multisite allows ELG to manage all their venues from a single dashboard. Updates to core plugins, security patches, or the “Heartfelt Rewards” assets can be pushed to all sites simultaneously, saving dozens of hours in administrative labour.

Mobile-First UX
Recognising that over 80% of hospitality searches happen on mobile devices while users are “on the go,” Organik Web prioritised a responsive design. Menus are easy to read on small screens, and the “Book Now” buttons remain accessible at all times.

SEO and Local Search Optimisation
For hospitality venues, local SEO is critical. Organik Web implemented a strategy that optimises each venue for its specific geographic location (e.g., “Dining in Applecross” or “Best Bar in Hillarys”). This ensures that each ELG venue appears in the “Map Pack” and at the top of organic search results for local queries.

The Results: A Digital Hub for Growth

The launch of the new ELG Australia platform has provided the group with a professional digital foundation that matches its physical reputation for excellence.

Streamlined Operations: The multisite backend has drastically reduced the time required to update menus or post news across the group’s various venues.

Enhanced Brand Equity: The parent site clearly communicates the scale and professionalism of the group, aiding in B2B relationships and property developments.

Increased Conversions: The direct integration of booking links has led to a measurable increase in online reservations.

Future-Proofed Expansion: As ELG prepares to open new venues across the state, the Organik Web framework allows for the rapid deployment of new venue pages that are pre-optimised for SEO and mobile performance.

By partnering with Organik Web, ELG Australia has successfully bridged the gap between a growing corporate entity and its individual, community-focused venues. The new website is more than just a digital brochure; it is a high-performance engine that drives bookings, fosters loyalty, and simplifies the complex management of a multi-venue hospitality group.

ELG Australia now possesses a digital presence that truly lives up to its promise of “Bringing People Together.”
